Nothing will remind you of how fast time flies like watching a child grow. Rapper and actress Eve’s son Wilde has already reached his first birthday and his parent’s marked the occasion by celebrating with a gorgeous cake, balloons and plenty of love.
Eve posted an adorable picture of Wilde, reaching for his cake, while sitting in his high chair in a navy blue sweater with a puppy on it.
“Wilde’s #1stbirthday #tears #joy #happiness ❤️???,” she wrote in the accompanying caption on Instagram.
Wilde is the star’s first child with husband Maximillion Cooper, who she’s been married to since 2014. Cooper also wished his little one a happy first birthday on Instagram.
“Happy 1st Birthday Wilde! We all love you so much ? #.”
Cooper is a father to four other children from his previous marriage–Lotus, Jagger, Cash, and Mini.
In December, Eve spoke to NME and was asked how she was finding motherhood and how she sees herself balancing it with her career, two decades after the release of her debut album Scorpion. “It’s very interesting. I know my energy levels ain’t the same, girl. She be tired!” she admitted. “But, when I look at work, it’s nice to be in a place where I can be as discerning in the things that I want to do. It’s nice to think; most of the things I am doing for myself but, [also] for the future of my son. Everything I do now, from his birth on, he’s gonna see it when he gets older.”
We are sure the star is savoring this time with her son and we’re glad to see her with the happy ending she wanted for so long. Prior to welcoming Wilde, she was transparent about her fibroids and fertility issues. During an episode of The Talk, which she used to be a host on for three years, she shared that she had to undergo surgery to remove fibroids to increase the chances of her becoming a mother.
“I’m 42 now. You know, my husband and I, we’ve been trying and trying and trying, and we’ve been doing certain things,” she said during the show. “At the beginning of the year, I had a procedure called a myomectomy that gets rid of fibroids.”
The couple’s efforts weren’t in vain as they’re now celebrating a milestone birthday in the life of their son.
